Coastal-Inspired and Accessible Bathroom Remodels
Who says your bathroom can’t have personality? Our clients were in need of two complete bathroom remodels and wished for the designs to exude their eclectic style.
When you step into the first bathroom, you’re met with eye-popping tile, soothing shades of blue, and plenty of counter space and storage. The blue subway tile in the shower is reminiscent of the coast and–paired with a neutral sandy wall color–feels like you’re being transported to a waterfront destination. His and hers sinks allow multiple people to get ready at the same time. The floor-to-ceiling shower is perhaps the most memorable touch, with a custom skylight perched at the top of the shower.
The second bathroom boasts unique flamingo wallpaper met with gorgeous stone wall tile. A floating vanity gives the room a sophisticated feel while the shower tiles–resembling blue scales–provide a coastal element. A unique chandelier resembling bubbles rounds out this ocean-inspired bathroom.
Both bathrooms have accessibility features such as wet floors, walk-in showers and ample seating and benches.
Construction and Remodel Process
In the blue bathroom, our team added a dormer above the shower for maximum daylight exposure. We expanded the tile to the dormer to create a custom, full tiled shower.
In the flamingo-themed bathroom, our team implemented CAPS-standard accessibility upgrades. Other features included luxe gold finishes for plumbing fixtures, tiles for a wainscoting effect, a wall-hung vanity, and a custom shower niche.
