Luxury Home Movie Theater
This basement remodel was a true indulgence, a lavish realization of our client’s dreams. A top priority for this space was an at-home theater for family and friends to enjoy the ultimate movie-watching experience.
To make this space feel like a true cinematic masterpiece, we employed the perfect lighting to create a “theater” effect and selected elevated seating for optimal comfort and luxury. The first row of seating is a grand double chaise sectional sofa that can fit the whole family. Moving up a step, you head to the back row which contains four luxury reclining chairs, recalling the type of seating you would enjoy at a high-end theater. Towards the back is ample counter space for meals, snacks, drinks, and other movie marathon necessities.
The end result is a basement that exceeded our client’s high expectations–a place for the whole family to gather over a good film.
Construction and Remodel Process
Our team implemented sconce lighting as well as LED and recessed lighting to create an authentic movie theater experience. We also installed false beams with crown molding, as well as custom molding on the walls. This included custom wallpaper within the picture frame outlay as well as sound-resistant drywall. We finished the space with raised seating for a stadium/theater feel.
